Hello everyone,
I hope you are having a good weekend.
Earlier this week, submissions to The Haiku Shack Anthology and Gallery completely stopped. Those things happen, so I did not really worry about it. Then, a former contributor to the magazine emailed me to let me know that the submission forms were not working and they could not submit anything.
I visited my website to discover the same issue. As you can imagine, I started investigating right away. After many hours of hair-pulling research and tests, there was no solution in sight. Since all other options are expensive and would blow out my budget for the magazine in a matter of days, I opted for reverting to direct submissions via emails.
The next time you visit the submission page for the anthology, gallery, and/or magazine, you will have to download a form, fill it out, then send it to me via the email address mentioned on the page.
Thank you for your understanding.

Hello everyone!
If you enjoy writing haiku, I have an exciting offer for you. The Haiku Shack Magazine is looking for submissions for its first-ever anthology!
The anthology will be edited by yours truly and the wonderful poet Sherri J Moye-Dombrosky. She was a guest editor for The Haiku Shack Magazine: Issue 4 and I couldn't be happier that she has accepted to collaborate with me again!
Click here to submit your haiku.
We look forward to reading you.

Hello everyone!
I have some awesome news to share with you today. I finally designed a logo for The Haiku Shack Magazine!
Initially, I wanted to make it in Canva, which is one of my favorite tools to create marketing material. Unfortunately, file resolution is not very high for printing. I had an idea as well: Why not also design a banner that I could use on merch?
Krita to the rescue. After many hours of hard work (I am not a logo designer), I am excited to show you the result.

The digital painting you see is mine. I made it a few years ago when I was trying my hand at Procreate. I think it fits the concept of the magazine perfectly.
Here is the banner:

And now, for the other major announcement. The Haiku Shack Magazine now has a store! Every item you purchase there will help fund the magazine, thus allowing me to keep the issues free for everyone and to continue paying winners of contests.
Click here to visit the store. Monthly supporters of the magazine (Tiers 2 and 3) will receive 10% off automatically.
Have a great week!

Hello everyone,
That's it! The Haiku Shack Magazine: Issue 6 is officially out for everyone! You can download your copy by clicking here.
The winners of the contest for issue 6 are Linette Rabsatt and Cody Gohl. Congratulations to both of you. Your pieces really moved me!
In other (fantastic) news, thanks to the generosity of donors and members of The Haiku Shack Magazine, I am able to keep the magazine free for all. This means no reading fees! And, what is even better, I can also increase the number of winners. Starting with issue 7, five contributors will receive $5 each.
Speaking of issue 7, submissions are now open again. The new theme is "desert". I cannot wait to read your work!
Check out the submission guidelines here.
Have a great week ahead!
